As a Curatorial Fellow, Selam Bekele supports the research, programming, and exhibition development at the CCA Wattis Institute in San Francisco, CA. In 2016, Bekele moved to New York and started TZTA, an interdisciplinary platform that researches oral histories and nomadic folklore from Africa and the Middle-East. Bekele’s work has led her to travel extensively to over 15 countries to host performances, interview artists, and engage in projects with international communities.
